[ Terry has a braincell sometimes. ]

Nothing at all?

[ She thinks to herself for a moment, pushing the sleeves back down her wrist. That creature behind the gate is pretty much what you'd expect to see out of a video game, but Terry was able to "pinpoint" all the other monsters there for some reason. What makes the gate and the omamori so special... ]

Is there anything else you couldn't get information out of? A place- or a person would be especially helpful.

I haven't tested it that much yet, but so far, I found it harder to pry info from Persona users in particular. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it doesn't. That's what I meant by mostly getting my powers back, because there's still some things it can't pass...

[ His eyes seem to glint for a second, though he's still smiling. ]

I know the bird boss is still alive though. Guess it doesn't matter as long as the gates have been opened. [ He is going to go back and slaughter him as revenge.

The feeling only takes a second to pass and that usual, stupid grin is back. ]

I'll let you know if there are other things or people I can't get through to. Anything else you want me to do?

[ Knowing that they'd gone through all this and that monster was able to recover isn't something that makes Kido smile, brows furrowed with the same thought of going back. Slaughter might not be the word she'd use, but definitely something, as she has a better grasp of how things would go. ]

Yeah, keep me posted about stuff like that. If you can, try to check out anything that's strange, like those gemstones that are dropped by the monsters, or the birds when they start to act weird.

[ Not that he'd be able to learn anything about either of them, besides the fact that the gemstones— rubies or emeralds or whatever- have no worth in this town as they would back home. Crows are crows. ]

Okay, I'll keep that in mind. If there's anything else you want me to find or want to know about, let me know... except those papers.

[ Kido needs to go through translating hell for those. Sorry, Kido. ]

Right. I'll keep you in mind. It'll probably be useful tomorrow.

[ But, oh, right. She'd almost forgotten about those papers. But he goes ahead and says that and she takes the stack out of her bag and folds them in half, transferring them to her jacket pocket. She doesn't always carry a bag with her, unless she's got something heavy or bulky she needs to carry like the cans of cat food, but she's never without her jacket. It works. ]

Tomorrow...?

[ He has some... sort of feeling. He can't tell whether it's good or bad. ]

What's happening tomorrow other than the festival?

Don't worry about it.

[ She leaves him be to turn to the corner so she can say bye to the cats before leaving. ]

[ HE. IS GOING TO WORRY ABOUT IT!! Kido hasn't given him a satisfying answer, so he'll quietly get up from his chair and attempt to hug Kido from the back because he wants a goodbye hug. This will probably end poorly, but sometimes his one brain cell works and he'll try to have his arms holding Kido's down too so that, hopefully, she doesn't punch him on reflex. ]

[ SHE WOULD PUNCH HIM ON REFLEX BUT SHE'S FACING THE WRONG WAY FOR THAT she can't even elbow him in the face because her arms are pinned, so Terry's saved from having a concussion the day before discharge. Instead, all she can do is splutter some sort of surprised shout while trying to turn around so she can properly clock him in the face. ]

[ He lets go, and is clearly expecting a punch to the face, so for the first time since their encounter, he actually dodges it by ducking his head. It's not that his affection for Kido has changed, but rather, he doesn't want to stay in the hospital more than he has to at this point for various reasons, but also festival!! That's clearly important. ]

I'm not sorry for that!

[ ... That's not what he meant to say, but he doesn't really pause. ]

See you tomorrow, Kido!

[ And he just. closes the door on her so that she doesn't punch him again. lmao... ]

Hey—! Open up, you bastard!!

[ Watch Kido get kicked out of the hospital for yelling and pounding on the door and see if she even bothers coming back tomorrow morning to pick him up!!!

But it'd be a real pain to have that happen, so just as the nurses start running down the hall to see what the commotion is all about, Kido erases her presence and makes herself disappear, back pressed flat against the wall so she wouldn't be in anybody's way. She'll just quietly slip out while the nurses come into Terry's room to question him about what that shouting was all about, he can deal with it. ]
