[ Technically, the bag that was sewn into the inside of his pocket, but it's functionally a pocket she's got to learn how to sew into her own hoodie now. Most of the things that should be trash were tossed away already, like the popsicle sticks and candy wrappers, but she still has this one napkin that she's waving in Terry's face, because it's his blood and maybe he wants it back. ]

Here, take it. And there's some fun things in that bag, Boss! Food and toys and that sort of stuff~

[ Terry takes the bloody napkin and starts sorting things out by usable and trash. It's weird doing this on the ground outside...

Terry looks up at Ala. ]

I want my knife back.

[ Everything is usable and Ala even made sure none of the plastic straws were already bitten or any mints licked and re-wrapped. Terry had better not throw anything away, or Ala's going to stick it back in his pocket. ]

Do I get presents?

[ She regifted so much to you already, Terry, don't ask for something more on top of it without giving her something in return, even though it was his to begin with. ]

[ Look, there's nothing preventing Terry from beating Ala up aside from his own morality. ]

Oh right, I didn't get you a gift, did I?

[ Hm. ]

I told you to return it to me though. So you're not getting it if you don't give it to me.

[ I have concerns over Terry's morality. ]

Aw, but I still need it. Let me hold onto it for a little while longer, okay, Boss? What do you need it so badly for, anyways? You can kill things easily without it!

... Killing with a knife is more fun.

You have a house full of knives, though! I saw them in the kitchen while looking for chips.

[ Just stab people with a kitchen knife, it's all good ]

None of it's serrated and causes charm like that one. Size matters too.

If you're going to kill things in one hit, they don't matter, do they? Quick and painless, remember!

[ Let her stall... Ala subtly/not so subtly backs away a little. ]

[ Terry grabs Ala's arm. That sure isn't subtle. ]

The point is you didn't give it back when I told you to.

[ Maybe if he asked politely and said please... Grabbing Ala's arm really doesn't do anything because she immediately escapes by turning into smoke, letting Terry's hand close on nothing while she drops his charm knife at his feet and reforms as a crow sitting on top of Terry's head and gives him some of those caws that doesn't mean anything and he can't understand anyways. ]

[ Saying please and all those niceties hasn't helped him with anything in Hirajiro, so why would he start now? Terry picks up the knife and puts it in his pocket while continuing to sort through the junk. ]

I'll get you three cinnamon buns.

[ Because that's what being a decent person is all about. It's not Ala's problem though, and she goes back to being a human so she can crouch down in front of the bag to see how Terry's separating them. Condiments are useful, the stress ball is something Terry could use, and maybe he can learn how to play with the Magic cards. ]

No, you're not supposed to tell me...! That ruins the surprise, Boss! The surprise is the best part...

[ Nails are useful--Terry can use them as darts to throw in battle or for whatever hardware project he'll be taking on next. The stress ball would be useful if he didn't have super strength, but he thinks it might be good for someone else (Kido). Condiments... he's not sure how old they are, but he'll pinpoint that later. The tea packs are useful at least... ]

That's how it is...

[ He sifts through more things. A spark plug would be useful with his taser to make a makeshift bomb. Old socks, used runes, tubes of rainbow glitter...

He holds up unused balloons. ]

Don't you want these?

[ Is that really how it is... Why is Terry using her gifts to make bombs... although, Kano had kept the spark plug specifically to throw at and destroy glass after he was taught how to use it, but then never did because it was something sentimental for him. A lot of these things are sentimental, from spark plug to the socks to the mints, though there's no way anybody's supposed to know that. ]

The balloons? No, I don't have antifreeze, so I don't want them. I threw away all the trash already, and am giving you everything else besides the important things: some glitter, the bandaids, and Shuuya's school notebook.

What are you gonna do with the glitter?

[ Hm. He thinks other things can be used as recycling to make more useful products, so he'll keep the balloons too. He can always make water balloons full of alcohol and fling a molotov for maximum burning. ]

Huh? Nothing. Did you want it too?

[ Would Terry make a bomb out of this? She thinks if Terry made a glitter bomb, his aim would be to blind somebody by getting it all in their eyes, instead of just making a mess. ]

It's pretty and shiny, so I wanted to keep it, that's all. It makes me happy.

Oh, then keep it. I don't want it.

[ If it makes her happy, then by all means. He's not gonna take that away. He finishes sorting through everything and puts everything that he wants to keep in his backpack and everything else goes in a plastic bag for trash. ]

Wait here.

[ He'll go inside his house. Give him a minute... ]

[ It'd better only be a minute, because being left outside all by herself in the middle of the street makes her kind of nervous with the townspeople being the way they are and actually being able to see her. So even if it's only a minute, when Terry leaves the house again, it's to a little crow swooping over from a fence to hop off Terry's head before turning back into herself again. ]

[ Speed sure is useful when wanting to get things done fast. Terry comes out with a small box and hands it to Ala. ]

Merry Christmas, Ala.

[ She takes the box in her hands, palms on the bottom to support what she believes to be the weight of three cinnamon rolls she decides to open and eat while they're still warm, whatever wrappings and ribbons that might be sealing up the box undone carefully so she can save it for later and then

what does she get, Boss? ]

[ When Ala opens the box, there will be three cinnamon buns as he said before, a small, yellow christmas bell that makes a jingle just like any other bell, and a plain red ribbon.

Even though it was pretty much a last minute gift, Terry thought about how even the smallest things can make Ala happy too and a christmas bell is usually associated with good things. ]

[ Ala makes her own fun, and could have possibly been happy with an empty box to turn herself small and curl up in like a cat— in fact, this box will probably be regifted to one of Souji's, while the ribbon gets tied around her wrist and the bell... With the bell, she faces the same problem that she did with Toki's cell phone charm: she has no idea how to hang this. So it gets wrapped in her fist instead, muffled jingling as she goes in for a hug. Once she figures it out, she'll be like a mini-Reaper you can hear jingling from miles away so you can run away from the warning. ]
