[ she nods and sniffs a couple of times, trying to calm down. all of this is so much. she wishes that she could have been like that girl rather than the bitter and depressed person that she actually became. ]

... let's make paper cranes together one day. I'm really good at it.

We'll make a big family with them too! Everyone will be there for each other and nobody will ever have to feel lonely anymore.

Mmhm... I know how to make a lot of different types of origami. I can make other animals to accompany the cranes.

[ rei is a small master of folding origami because it was one of the few things that she could do while in the hospital. ]

Umm, I can make cats, dogs, fish, frogs, and rabbits.

Cats and rabbits sound cute.

[ Let's do it, Rei. Terry looks pretty excited at the prospect. ]

Though I don't know how to fold those though. Can you teach me?

[ surprise, rabbits are her favourite so she'd teach terry how to make those and then make 32982829 of them. ]

[ He was so preoccupied with Rei that he totally forgot. ]

Right, I should go help the nurses out with getting the food here. I'll probably have to get a separate meal, but I'll be right back with yours too and we can eat together.

[ she nods. she doesn't have her appetite so much anymore but she does like the idea of at least eating with terry, having some sort of company. she'll take a few bites and that's it. she'll wait here patiently and then they will go on with their day, blah blah blah. ]
